About my work as a UX/UI Designer over the last 5 years.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a BSBA in Marketing and Management. During my Junior year, I took a position as a Marketing intern with a company called Real Radiology. Real Radiology is a physician-owned Tele-Radiology practice headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and has now grown into an international Radiology practice.
I was asked to build a website using Squarespace to allow Healthcare practitioners to login to One-Pacs, which is an online portal to send and receive images between Radiologists and healthcare centers around the world. Once I made a website via Squarespace, I became enamored with learning web design and software development.
Since then, I’ve spent the last 5 years dedicated to learning as much as I can regarding User Experience and Front end web development. I’ve held positions as a UI Developer, Front end Engineer, and now a UX Engineer with Moody’s Analytics in Omaha.
Many of my friends wanted to change their career and learn how to code, but were overwhelmed on where to begin. I decided to make a tutorial site because I wanted to teach aspiring developers of all ages how to code as well.
My goal is to show others that with discipline and a dedication to life-long learning, they can also have a successful career in IT.
I’m also interested in the future of web development, and constantly seek out new ways to increase the performance and User Experience of my websites.
